Handbuilding Pottery Classes
The classes will introduce the potter to the three basic techniques of hand building – Pinch, Coil and Slab construction.
How it Works:
- The classes are for the whole family, everyone gets to play in the mud.
- There are 4 class sessions, and each will meet once a week for 4 weeks. (For example, if you sign up for the Tuesday session. You will then come every Tuesday for 4 weeks in June.)
- The clay takes about 4 weeks to dry before it can be fired in the kiln. You can come back any time after its fired to do your glazing.
- If you miss a class, I will have make-up days in July. But we may have to change the way it is finished depending on how dry the clay is when you work on it.
- Remember we are working with clay, dress appropriately.
- No children under the age of 16 without an adult.
Two Pinch pots put together.
